Dear CIIS,
You are deeply precious to me. I have found myself weeping in your hallways as of late. I am torn by you and comforted by you. There is much fear in your presence as of late – there is more anger. You are upset by the presence of SCA. We are healers of another sort – we exist in the dimensions of politics, of society, of global inequity. We fight for social justice. You produce healers of the psyche, of the spirit, especially within the school of professional psychology. You built yourself to bridge the East and West, Spirit and Scholarship… to be Integral. Are we not what you have called forth? A greater capacity to heal – healing on multiple dimensions! It is not easy. It is profound.
SCA is the “Other” within CIIS. Our leaders are profound! They are deeply misunderstood. Dr. Chatterji is the most powerful being I have ever met. I have met President Obama, I work along side Cecil Williams – the professors in question, Dr. Chatterji & Richard Shapiro stand among their rank. These beings resonate on degrees of consciousness barely comprehendible to others.
Dr. Chatterji’s work literally saves more lives than anyone I have ever met save Cecil Williams. Her capacity borderlines on Mastery; her students share that power. Her power is deeply complex. It is conferred by us – her students; it is has been forged by her exemplary will, and it has been inherited. Her family ties to Gandhi and Sri Aurobindo are subtle, complementary voices barely audible and spiritually resonant. In SCA, she is the one whom we fear, to whom we gravitate… and in her presence we share divine expression, visions of practice, healing, and transformation. She conjures Kali and she is a destroyer – as much as she manifests creativity and social salvation for multitudes in India, she aims to destroy bigotry, hatred, and multiform oppression. She uses concentrated rage with Mastery. I am becoming a Master – like her I conjure divinity. Mine is Christ Jesus – I am His disciple first, before all others… I honor Him. Together, with grace and learning, we wade through the paradox of our common humanity just as much as we participate with the principles of divinity. This is what is misunderstood about SCA, about CIIS as a whole.
To be clear, CIIS is holy ground. It is a sight barely comprehendible to accreditation agencies, yet strangely and determinately… CIIS exists nevertheless. Amen. SCA is the microcosmic expression of the power and class CIIS holds on a macrocosmic level. The issues are a symbiotic combination of multiple logics: dialogics exist; forms of recursivity; and all is also always holographic.
These explanations are both precarious and essential, and I am far from having a clear view. What I do have are answers that are adequate, satisfactory, and very important. What is clear to me is that CIIS must love its way through this bottleneck. This is why I fasted and will continue to fast! I am the one weeping through the hallways. I am a product of SCT, a bridge between PCC and SCA, and I weep compassion and vulnerability – the compensatory emotional fields needed to heal and transform our school.
Heed my word on this matter: CIIS is small and fragile and we exist in a massive zone of uncertainty. SCA is a bee – without deep respect and if stepped on, before it looses its life it will sting and inject as much poison as possible. SCA, like the bee, is also an indicator species – if SCA’s core disappears… be forewarned: The ecology of place, of CIIS, and of the Earth is in jeopardy. We need bees because they are precious! They produce the honey! Yumm! SCA and Bees are indispensable to the promise land that flows not only with milk, but with honey.
For those that have ears – let them hear. SCA and CIIS need your prayer, your support! I ask that blessings pour over one of the greatest schools on the planet…
